99sa started as advisory work with founders, and the fund followed. That order shaped everything about how we operate now.
The name is the argument.
A very small number of people build the systems that everyone else runs on. We think the point of backing them is what reaches the other ninety-nine percent.
The practice came first: 99 Strategic Advisors, registered in Hyderabad in April 2021, doing the unglamorous work of helping founders fix pricing, hiring, and go-to-market. 99sa Ventures Private Limited followed that November, so we could put money behind the companies we were already working with.
That is the whole history. It is shorter than most firm pages, and we would rather it be short and true.

Answer quickly, even when the answer is no
Founders are spending the scarcest thing they have on us. Slow processes are a transfer of risk from our calendar to their runway.
Say the difficult thing early
The concern we raise at the term sheet is cheaper than the one we raise at the board meeting. We would rather be blunt in month one than diplomatic in year two.
Stay small enough to be useful
Our size sets everything else: how many companies we carry, and how much of your problem we can actually hold.
Claim only what we can show
No inflated numbers, no logo walls, no track record we cannot stand behind in a reference call.
Founders decide
We advise hard and then we back the call. An investor who needs to be right is a liability on a cap table.
Two entities, one team, no mystery.
99sa Ventures Private Limited (CIN U74999TG2021PTC157445) is the investment entity. 99 Strategic Advisors LLP is the advisory practice. Same two people run both, and we will tell you which one you are dealing with.
We are not a SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Fund, and we do not describe ourselves as one. If you are a founder, what matters is that the money is real and the decision is quick. If you are an institution asking about structure, ask us directly and we will give you the specifics.
Hyderabad, at T-Hub.
The office is at T-Hub in Raidurg, which puts us a short walk from a large share of the people we want to meet. We spend time in Bengaluru and Mumbai regularly, and we will travel for a company worth travelling for.
If you are building somewhere we do not get to often, write anyway. Distance has never been the reason we passed.
